Your mission

Bounti is building the AI-native operations layer for frontline teams — spanning training, audits, checklists, and communication in 100+ languages. We partner with multi-location operators across Europe and the US, and we’re obsessed with one thing: making complex operations feel effortless for the people actually doing the work.

Most software is built for desk workers. But 80% of the global workforce isn’t behind a desk — they’re on the floor, in the kitchen, on-site, in motion. The choices we make in design show up every day in how teams learn, stay compliant, and run smoother shifts. That’s a responsibility we take seriously.

We’re hiring a Founding Designer to help define what “great” looks like at Bounti. You’ll work extremely closely with Ziar (Designer & Co-Founder) and a fast-shipping engineering team — with real ownership over both craft and shipping outcomes.

What you'll do

Own product design end-to-end: From early exploration → flows → prototypes → high-fidelity UI → shipped product → iteration.
Translate messy reality into clarity: Take complex customer needs (multi-location ops, roles, compliance, edge cases) and turn them into intuitive interfaces and flows.
Move fast with high craft: Explore multiple directions quickly, then sweat the details that make the product feel premium (hierarchy, typography, spacing, states, microcopy, motion).
Partner tightly with engineering: Work in short iteration cycles with engineers who ship fast — solving constraints together instead of throwing work over the fence.
Product management: Help shape “what we build next” by turning customer input into clear problem statements, crisp scopes, and shippable milestones.
Run the loop in Linear: Write structured tickets, define acceptance criteria, break work into iterations, and keep momentum across cycles.
Iterate directly with customers: Jump on calls, test prototypes, validate direction, and turn feedback into fast product improvements.
Scope features in a structured way: Define v1/v2, identify dependencies and edge cases, and help the team make crisp tradeoffs.
Design AI-native workflows that users trust: Create experiences for AI features that are understandable and safe.
Raise the quality bar: Help evolve our design language and system so speed doesn’t mean sloppiness.

Your profile

You have high UI/UX craft and taste — and your portfolio shows it.
You’re a product thinker: you care how things work, not only how they look.
You’re customer-obsessed: you want to understand workflows, pain points, and constraints before designing.
You thrive in fast iteration cycles and can explore multiple directions without getting stuck.
You’re great at collaboration with engineers — you understand components, constraints, and tradeoffs.
You can take ambiguity and create structure: problem framing, flows, edge cases, success criteria.
You’re comfortable doing some PM-style work when needed: scoping, prioritizing, writing clear tickets, and driving decisions.
You’re excited by AI as a product surface — and you care about making it intuitive, trustworthy, and useful.
You have grit, autonomy, and momentum — you “just do things.”

Bonus points if you:

Use AI tools fluently in your workflow, e.g. Cursor, Claude, or similar to accelerate product design, prototyping, research, product thinking and shipping
Have designed B2B SaaS (especially ops-heavy workflows)
Prototype in code (React/Next.js) or enjoy shipping alongside engineers
Have designed for mobile-first / frontline-first contexts
Have experience with design systems or component libraries
